Description
This job shadowing experience will include the following duties:
- Observation of PT and/or PTA
- Gathering, washing, folding and putting up linen
- Cleaning beds and preparing treatment area
- Preparing hot and cold packs under the direction of PT/PTA. The volunteer is now allowed to apply the pack to the patient.
According to the state practice act: volunteers need to be in direct line of sight of PT/PTA's and may not provide physical therapy.
PTS has 6 clinic locations: Village Drive (Sevierville), Seymour, Kodak, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Newport Highway (Sevierville).
Qualifications
- 16 years or older
- Must be able to provide a Driver's License
- Must have transportation
