Description
Job Purpose: Food Service Interns will learn multiple roles within our Foods operation. Interns will gain experience in guest service, register, line cook, food prep, barista and concessions. We will focus on excellent guest service and keeping the food safety standards on a consistent basis. Interns will then work closely with the Food Leaders and work as needed in various areas throughout the day to help the team to deliver the best experience to our guests and to support our staff.

NASCAR SpeedPark: PARC Pigeon Forge, LLC, a division of PARC Entertainment, LLC (“PARC”), owns and operates the NASCAR SpeedPark in Sevierville, Tennessee. As an officially licensed attraction of the National Association for Stock Car Racing (“NASCAR”), the park offers exciting side-by-side go-kart racing on eight tracks, together with amusement rides, miniature golf courses, bumper boats, mini bowling, an arcade and other family-oriented entertainment. Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist guests in their purchases of food.
- Operate POS and cash registers systems.
- Food Prep to safety standards
- Provide excellent guest service and answer guest questions.
- Prepare a wide variety of food selections.
- Keep public areas clean, sanitized, organized and well-stocked
- Work with the Food leadership team on projects as needed.

- Assist guests in their Food selections sharing specials offers to provide best options.
- Answer general questions and be helpful, friendly and courteous.
- Welcome and assist Guests to find solutions to their questions and challenges/opportunities.
- Explain requirements in a respectful, positive and proactive manner.
Always Safe:
- Safe preparation and service of food
- Maintain a clean, sanitized and organized facility and/or work station
- Follow safety guidelines and promote safety
- Maintain common areas (furniture, tables, chairs, benches) baseboard tiles, directories, billboards, trash receptacles, ash urns, storefronts, and signage free of dust, dirt and grime.
- Assure common areas are cleaned regularly.
- Maintain restroom cleanliness and safety.
- Mark spills and notify Property Maintenance or Manager on Duty to prevent a safety hazard.
- Follow safe money-handling processes.
- Report any malfunction or unsafe or suspicious behavior immediately to supervisor.
- Use proper radio etiquette.

- Able to prioritize and flexible to work in the area where needed most to ensure the best guest experience
- Ensure that items purchased are recorded, maintain balanced cash drawers and practice consistent, professional cash handling skills.
- Stock Foods area complete daily inventory.
- Monitor cleanliness of dining area and call for assistance when needed.
- Complete necessary documentation of opening and closing, cleaning duties and timekeeping.
- Assist with basic cleaning functions including mopping and dishes as needed.
- Ensure professional development to enhance work knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules, regulations, standards, guidelines, expectations and requirements.
- Ensure completion of work responsibilities and special projects in accordance with the designated timeframe, as determined by the reporting leader.
- Adhere to Company ethical requirements, demonstrating the utmost integrity in all professional and personal matters.
- Provide reporting leader with feedback, ideas and suggestions on a timely basis.
- Duties as assigned by the supervisor as deemed necessary for park operations.
- Accurate completion of all reports, checklists, forms and other recordkeeping requirements.
- Attend and embrace all company sponsored professional development and training opportunities to enhance work knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Actively identify areas of improvement and work towards positive changes.
Qualifications
SKILLS, REQUIREMENTS, AND QUALIFICATIONS

- Required Education- Participating in SEVIER Ready programs, attending high school
- Preferred Experience – prefer experience in Food Service
- Certification/Licensure – None
- Specific Vision Requirements – Color and peripheral vision, Close vision, distance vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus
- Special Skills –. Prefer proficiency in use of cash registers and Point of Sales (POS systems) and cash handling procedures. Food Prep and Line cook. Positive and effective customer service skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
- Schedule- Able to work a flexible schedule, including some weekends, evenings and holidays
