What will you be doing? In this role you will learn and assist our Mechanic team with the basic maintenance of our fleet of go-karts. You will also learn to be a Go-Kart Track Attendant and Ride Operator, you will be providing excellent guest service by safely assisting guests through the attraction experience. We are looking for hard-working, friendly team members who are also safety conscientious and attentive to details.
Job Purpose: Assist the Mechanic team to inspect, and provide basic mechanic service to go-karts to keep our fleet operating safely and effectively. Provide an excellent guest experience on our go-kart tracks and rides through friendly and caring guest interactions and operating Tracks and Rides safely, following all company rules and regulations.

NASCAR SpeedPark: PARC Pigeon Forge, LLC, a division of PARC Entertainment, LLC (“PARC”), owns and operates the NASCAR SpeedPark in Sevierville, Tennessee. As an officially licensed attraction of the National Association for Stock Car Racing (“NASCAR”), the park offers exciting side-by-side go-kart racing on eight tracks, together with amusement rides, miniature golf courses, bumper boats, mini bowling, an arcade and other family-oriented entertainment. Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Demonstrate “People-First”:

When assisting with guests or ride or track operations:
- Assist guests with loading and unloading.
- Give directions in a manner that is professional, caring and firm.
- Answer general questions and be helpful, friendly and courteous.
Demonstrate “Always Safe”:
- Follow Mechanic Safety Guidelines
- Ensure go-karts are operating properly.
- Ensure highest levels of safety are maintained by adhering to OSHA, local health and safety codes, legal regulations and company safety and security policies are met.
- Communicate, follow and ensure compliance with safety guidelines.
- Report any malfunction immediately to supervisor.
- Operate machinery only when properly signed-off
- Maintain proper cleaning/ sanitizing and organizing procedures.
- Use proper radio etiquette.
- Proper use and care of company equipment.
- Assist with daily ride inspections and complete checklists for maintenance needed.
If assisting with guests or ride or track operations:
- Ensure ride and go-karts are operating properly.
- Ensure riders are safely secured before ride or go-karts go into operation.
- Quickly and safely correct spinouts.
- Communicate, monitor and maintain height/weight/rider restrictions respectfully and consistently.
- Maintain visual contact with the ride and guest.
- Do not use electronic devices while operating rides other than the radio provided.
- Follow Ride and Go-Kart operational policies and procedures.

- Be enthusiastic and promote a friendly and fun atmosphere for our team members and guests.
- Promote a mutually supportive, unified, “we are all on the same team” relationship with team members in all department and divisions.

- Dress professionally in clean, neat uniform
- Complete necessary documentation of ride & track inspection, opening and closing duties and timekeeping.
- Keep a ride/ go-kart parts inventory and notify the supervisor of any materials necessary to ensure safe, continuous operation
- Work in conjunction with other staff solving go-kart related and facilities-related issues.
- Occasionally assist as needed to maintain, erect and repair rides / attractions.
- Maintain and clean and organized environment in maintenance shops, mechanical spaces and back areas
- Ensure professional development to enhance work knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules, regulations, standards, guidelines, expectations and requirements.
- Ensure completion of work responsibilities and special projects in accordance with the designated timeframe, as determined by the reporting leader.
- Adhere to Company ethical requirements, demonstrating the utmost integrity in all professional and personal matters.
- Provide reporting leader with feedback, ideas and suggestions on a timely basis.
- Duties supervisor deems necessary for park operations.
Qualifications
SKILLS, REQUIREMENTS, AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Age Requirement- Must be 18 or older

- Relationships - Demonstrated ability to advance PARC's "People First" core value, through the establishment of positive, respectful relationships and working effectively with all internal and external constituencies.
- Required Education- Participating in a SEVIER Ready High School Program and must be in a mechanic or small engine class/ training program.
- Preferred Experience – none
- Certification/Licensure –able to complete Track and Ride Training and follow safety guidelines
- Specific Vision Requirements – Color and peripheral vision, Close vision, distance vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus.
- Special Skills –Positive and effective customer service skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time. Good communication Skills. Able to stay alert and be consistent with repetitive tasks.

- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. The employee will regularly push/pull go-karts with guest(s) occupying the go-karts, including go-karts on an incline.
- The noise level is moderate to high/ loud.
- Regularly exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time, including direct sunlight, extreme heat, cold, wind and rain.
- Routinely exposed to dust and particles.
