Job Summary
The intern will learn the different kitchen stations and work alongside experienced cooks in a fast-paced environment to provide quality prepared-to-order food for our guests.
We are looking for someone to work as a team player, follow recipes and instructions, and delight our customers with delicious food from our menu. Great communication and organizational skills are essential to accomplish this goal. You will learn or improve these skills as you work alongside our long-term employees.
You will learn to multitask as you join the kitchen team preparing, cooking, and arranging food – all while keeping the kitchen tidy and clean.
You will gain knowledge in all aspects of restaurant operation and management as you have opportunity to shadow and interact with the General Manager and other management staff.
Responsibilities and Learning Opportunities
- Maintaining a sanitized and well-organized kitchen
- Preparing workstations for cooking
- Preparing and maintaining kitchen equipment
- Checking the quality of ingredients
- Preparing cooking ingredients using various techniques
- Cooking food using various culinary techniques
- Arranging food and ensuring appealing presentation
- Managing food storage, stock, and ingredient orders
- Learn what is required to obtain the highest health inspections scores
