Description

This job shadowing experience will include the following duties:

  1. Observation of PT and/or PTA
  2. Gathering, folding and putting up linen
  3. Cleaning beds and preparing treatment area
  4. Preparing hot and cold packs under direction of PT and/or PTA. The volunteer is not allowed to apply the pack to the patient.

According to the state practice act: volunteers need to be in direct line of sight of PT/PTA's and volunteers may not provide physical therapy.

PTS has 6 clinic locations: Village Dr., Seymour, Kodak, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Newport Hwy.

Qualifications

  • 16 years or older
  • Must be able to provide a Driver's License
  • Must have transportation
